Planning: Contents Page
I have decided to create a simple contents page. I have deconstructed a contents page, and looked at about five other contents pages and they feature very simplistic designs. It has come to my knowledge that Contents pages are simply there for quick navigation. This is the reason why I think it's best to create a simplistic design. I am planning on including all the conventions of a contents page, such as page numbers, same colour code as the magazine front cover, images along with page numbers situated in the corners of the images in which they relate to. I am going to make the layout similar to any other magazine; navigation on the left, and the pictures on the right-hand side of the page. The main heading will be at the top of the page, in a large and thick font type. Also, I have decided to split my contents in to two different sections; 'Regulars' & 'Features'. The regulars will be at the top, and the features underneath. The text has to be easy to read so I am going to use a well-known font such as 'Times New Roman' or 'Arial Black'. The images on the right-hand side of the page will, of course, be taken by me and will represent articles which are to be featured in the magazine. However, they will not be representing the same articles as those on the masthead on the front cover.
